Kitten - Our Raising.
 Maxim of Breeding.
Moloko's Cattery’s highest aim is to raise “partners for life-time” - of course besides healthy beauties.
Moloko's priority in raising kitten is in particular the unselfconscious imprinting of the kitten. They shall experience in a kittenish way to be open and confident and to have self-efficacy. We want kitten who are brave and adaptable in their used environment as well as with new circumstances. Hiding is not a solutions ;)
Health.
The Kitten are ready for their new owners earliest between the 12.-14. week. At the time of hand-over the kitties are vaccinated entirely and free of worms. As a matter of course a cat-vaccination-pass is coming together with the kitten as well as a doc’s check-up.
Stud & Bitch.
Too, the parents of the kittens are entirely and regulary vaccinated and dewormed besides negative tested regarding Leucose as well FIP/FIV. My cats are member of a German Association of Russian Pedigree Cats (Koschka e.V.) and my kennel is subject to their strict breeding’s regulations and controls. Register(German) Pedigrees and valuation of suitability to breed are self-evident. All my cats took part at divers national and international cat-shows (in Europe) and are multi-awarded.
Raising.
All our cats are indoor cats and there is no contact to other foreign cats. My cats are living as an adequat ‘roommate’ in the household. We also have ‘does’ and ‘don’ts’ - that meens you are getting an educated cat.
The babies are brought up with a loads of love, care and tender. They are used to the day-to-day circumstances like e.g. visitors/strangers, children, loud musik, rampage and of course: stroke ;)
When it comes to nuriture: only selected kitten-food of divers manufacturers of -dry and wet-food are fed. We definatly don’t want a picky cat - so we don’t get the kitten used to certain feeding-times or addicted to a certain food-brand.
The rest of the education comes ‘à la mama’.
Outstanding Mothers.
Russian Blue Cats are having instinctivly a hughe sense of family. The female is normally a marvelouse mother who raises her kitten without any problems. Often it’s also the father of the kittens who is participating.
Between the 7. and 9. day the kitten start recognizing noises. It takes up to 17 days until the hearing is entirely developed. During that time also the eyes are opening. Within 3 weeks time the kitten’s eye is at 100%.
Kitten’s characteristics:
Russian Blue-Kitten are having blue eyes the first time they open their eyes. Only in the 6. to 8. week the eyes start to change very slowly colour. Mostly the kittens are still having ‘dirty’ yellow-brown or grey eyes when they are given to their new owner. It takes up to one year until the intense smaraged-green eye-colour is prefectly developed. It is very rare that the blue eye-colour is transforming into green directly.
Another speciality is the ‘gost-markings’ of a kitten. This is changing inwith latest one year to a stripe-free, light- to medium-grey fur with light silver-tippings.
The Russian Blue Cat is normally full-grown with an age of one year.
